Kander Speech Pathology is a small and personalised speech pathology service providing a comprehensive service to children, adolescents and adults with communication difficulties.

We service areas on the north side of Brisbane, namely Burpengary, North Lakes, Caboolture, Bribie Island, Redcliffe, Sandgate, Brighton, Pine Rivers, Narangba, Deception Bay, Mango Hill, Kallangur, Woodford, Dakabin, Wamuran, Kilcoy, Petrie, Rothwell, Kippa-Ring, Beachmere and Sunshine Coast.

Kander Speech Pathology is a registered Medicare provider and is recognised by Private Health Care Funds.

Bulk billing

Clients on the Chronic Disease Management Program (CDM), previously known as the Enhanced Primary Care Program (EPC), through Medicare, will be bulk billed for a maximum of five sessions.

Please speak to your General Practitioner to determine if you are eligible for this program.

Speech pathology is also covered under many health funds. Please check with your health fund to determine if you are eligible for a rebate.

How we can help

Speech pathology assessment and treatment are provided for the following communication concerns:

  • Speech difficulties in children including difficulty in sound production at all age levels
  • Language difficulties including the comprehension and expression of language in children and adolescents. This includes difficulty in following directions and giving information verbally.
  • Fluency/stuttering in children and adolescents.
  • Early literacy skills assessments, namely phonemic awareness skills
  • Voice disorders in children and adults
  • Communication disorders in adults post strokes/head injuries/degenerative disorders

    Bulk Billing for the Enhanced Primary Care Program (EPC)

    Each individual has different needs. We understand that not all cases are the same, and will work together with you to find the treatment that works for you. All treatment is individualised and based on assessment outcomes. We encourage you to become involved in the therapy sessions and ask questions.

    We are keen to liaise with other service providers involved in the care of a client, namely General Practitioners, specialists, educators, school support staff, parents, guardians and carers.

    Home and school programs can be provided to families and to schools to ensure that support is followed through in many different arenas
